The Level 2 Certificate in Paediatric First Aid is designed to train individuals to provide immediate first aid care for infants and children. This course also includes adult essential skills in basic life support as they differ from the skills of the infant and child.
This quaification has been recognised by CACHE as meeting the first aid requirements for there NVQ’s that require early years first aid. The course also meets the first aid requirements of the National Childminding Association, the Pre-School Learning Alliance, Ofsted an the Department for Children and families Surestart guidelines for Paediatric First Aid.
This qualification will provide first aid skills necessary to manage a infant of child that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services.
The Paediatric First Aid course also meets the recommendations of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace.
